Make A Bucket List

Do you have a lot of free time? How valuable do you think that time is for you? How do you spend it?

Think about it.


Or… you are too busy to do things that you want to and simply wish that the good old days where you had a lot of time was here again?


Well, we can’t turn back the clock, that concept is still limited to Jo Rowling’s third book.


There is always a solution to every mind-boggling pollution.

The recipe can be brewed with your pen and paper.

Or with your android. 😀

The solution is… a bucket list.

What is a bucket list? 

When we think about the word bucket list, we tend to think about a dying individual or an individual who is retired and wants to try different things. That’s because they know how valuable time is and your brain will think accordingly and brew all the solutions you need to fulfill them all.


Why a bucket list?

Life is short, even for young and healthy individuals like us. So should we wait until life is just as intriguing? You can make every moment interesting and exciting. So, here is what you need to do if you have all the time in the world or if you have a lot of plans and ideas. And it is a lot of fun. All it takes it some time off your schedule and few taps.

Zero budget. 😀

If you are confused, here are some things you could include:

Things you want to buy. When you go for something like this make sure that you think small. It won’t be practical to get something like an Audi or Ultra HD television but little things that could add a spark of light in your day.

Do something creative. You always wanted to do something like that but didn’t work out. You want to read or paint or sculpt or create something different. Even for busy individuals, you will get hollow spaces in your timetable. Use that to make something that will bring a sense of joy.

Read good books. I recommend that you read good books. It will help you better than you think.

Meeting someone. It could be a friend or relative. You should keep more people in your circle. If possible call someone that you have not seen for years. If there is bad blood then you neutralize it with bonding. 😀

Go hiking. You can plan a trip. Or simply step in if you are living nearby. Go to a special sport in your city or an archetype you have never visited.

Experiences you want to have. This could be wacky and fun. There is nothing like experiencing it yourself. For example: how is it like to walk along the beach? Or have ice cream for breakfast? Or to eat Broccoli? 😀

Unfinished business. This is very important. You will have a lot of pending work and striking it off the bucket list will have an all-new feel.

  • Bills
  • Purchases
  • Meetings
  • Work schedule
  • etc


Health-based milestones. If you want to gain or reduce weight. If you want to learn a new sport or exercise. For eg: being able to do 20 push-ups at the end of the month (why not?).

Try new food items. You could download recipes and make delicious goodies. Or go to a new restaurant and try a dish you have never experienced.

Do something kind. This is something that makes us human. You could reach out and help someone with dire needs if you have the resources or if you provide the requirements. Stand up for the vulnerable and fight. Help a struggling vendor.


I am saying this based on my own experience. I had a lot of time after I finished my post-graduation but felt like I have done nothing useful. After getting a minor inspiration from the song “galliyan” from Bollywood film “Ek Villain”, I have decided to make a bucket list every month.

And guess what?

I have got a lot of things done within a month that I might be reluctant to do the whole year. And once we fulfill all of that, there is a sense of joy, a victory, releasing all the happiness hormones, making you feel uplifted. And, it will help in terms of developing your creativity. Have no worries if you couldn’t get it done that month. You can shift all of that to the next month. Make sure that whatever you do or try, it satisfies you and make others around you just as happy. 🙂

Grab a paper or take the “memo” app in your android phone. You can decorate them if you want. The universe will work in your favor. The one thing you have to keep in your mind is, to be happy and make others happy. The pleasure should be derived from your own positive vibes because only you can have that.
